This formulation provides rapid and sustained suppression of gastric acid secretion, as sodium bicarbonate neutralizes stomach acid and protects omeprazole from acid degradation, allowing faster absorption and quicker onset of action compared to conventional delayed-release PPIs. Indicated for the management of acid-related disorders, including GERD, peptic ulcer disease, erosive esophagitis, and as part of Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy.
